What personal information may Vibint collect

  1. When you create a ID, apply for commercial credit, purchase a product, download a software update, connect to our services, contact us, or participate in an online survey, we may collect a variety of materials, including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, device identification number, IP address, location information and credit card details.

  2. When you use Vibint products to share your content, and send products to family and friends, or invite others to use Vibint services or forums, Vibint may collect information about you, such as your name, mailing address, email address and phone number. Vibint will use this information to complete your requests, provide related products or services, or prevent fraudulent use.

  3. In certain jurisdictions, we may require you to provide government-issued identification documents, but only in a few cases, including shipping and delivery , custom clearance, setting up a wireless account/enabling devices, deciding whether to extend commercial credit, managing appointments, or fulfilling statutory requirements.

 

How Vibint may use your personal information

Upon obtaining your consent, we may process your personal information in: Based on the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, fulfilling Vibint’s legal obligations, or when we have accessed it is necessary based on the legal rights of Vibint or a third party to disclose your information.

  1. The personal information we collect allows us to inform you on Vibint's latest product announcements, software updates, and upcoming events. If you do not wish to be on our mailing list, please send us a email at info@vibint.ai to opt out from the email subscriptions.

The information we may collect includes users preferences, occupation, language, stripe account, zip code, area code, device unique identifier, visitor source URL, location, and the time zone where Vibint products are used, and all sorts of data that may included and collected by Google Analytics, which enable us to further understand customer behavior and improve our products, services and advertising.

  2. Data may be collected by Vibint when users visit our website.

This information will be aggregated and used to assist us in analyzing users preferences in our products and services. Under this Privacy Policy, aggregated data is treated as anonymous information.

  1. We may collect and store relevant information on how you use out services including history on searching for enquiries. This information can be used to improve the relevance of searching results provided by our services. Apart from a few cases, where we have to ensure the quality of the services provided through the Internet, otherwise such information will not be associated with your IP address.

  2. With your explicit consent, we may collect information about your use of devices and applications to assist app developers in upgrading their apps.

  3. If we combine anonymous information with personal information the combined information will be regarded as personal information for as long as it remains combined.

Vibint's websites, online services, email messages, interactive applications, and advertisements may use "cookies" and other similar technologies such as pixel tags or web beacons. When you use Vibint websites, online services and applications, Vibint and its affiliates also use cookies and other similar technologies to record personal information. In these cases, our goal is to provide you with a more convenient and personalized experience with Vibint. For example, knowing your country and language (if you are an educator, knowing the school you teach) can help us to provide users a tailor-made shopping experience. By understanding people who use your devices and purchase a particular product/services can also help us to better advertise and enhance customer communication by providing content that’s more relevant to your interest. In addition, knowing your contact details, hardware identification numbers, and information about your computer or device can help us personalize your operating system and provide you with better customer service.

We use this information to understand and analyze trends, manage our website, understand users’ behavior on our website, enhance our products and services, and collect demographic information about our overall user base. Vibint may use this information for marketing and advertising.

In some of our email messages, we used a technique called “click-through URL” to link content on Vibint's website. When customers click on these URLs, they will go through another web server before they reach the landing page on our website. We track these clicks to help us determine the user's interest in a particular topic and measure the effectiveness of the customer's newsletter. Vibint does not take any decisions involving the use of algorithms or profiling that significantly affects you.

Vibint allows you to maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date personal information easily. The time period of holding your personal information depends upon the time required to fulfill the purposes of this Privacy Policy and the Service Privacy Information Summary. In order to provide location services on Vibint products, Vibint and its partners may collect, use and share exact location information, including the instant location of your Vibint device. Where applicable, location services may use GPS, Bluetooth, and your IP address, as well as crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspots, tower locations, and other techniques to determine the approximate location of your device. Unless having your consent, such location information is collected in an anonymous form that does not identify you personally, and Vibint and its partners may use this information to provide and improve targeted products and services. For example, if you choose to use an app vendor's location service, your device may share geolocation data with the app vendor.
